Like most folks, I have been glued to my satellite High Def television watching the coverage of all things Olympics!  I have watched everything from badminton, softball, baseball, wrestling, swimming, every type of volleyball, gymnastics, boxing, and soccer - just to name a few!  It’s been great - working on my own physical fitness by sitting on my backside, eyes glued to the coverage.  It’s awesome!  However, I am once again disappointed in a couple of sports where I just can’t believe technology can’t solve the issues and controversies!

I had a chance to visit Fusion-IO - vendor of high quality medium cost solid state hard drives.  What sets them apart from their competitors?  Shear speed!  I had the cahnce to talk to one of their “sales engineers” and got a quick glimpse of their impressive drive technology.

Okay, I have to call “technology crap announcement” when I see it announced as a technology breakthrough.  Maybe for Windows, it really is.  The idea of touch screen technology, interactive White-boards running Windows software, and then their big “Touch Wall!”  Quite frankly, it’s ho-hum.  It’s already here, already in use, and touch screens for that matter have been in use by other antiquated O/S technology since 1988!
